Natural beauty and high technology bound together

Ayagi endprofile

Our Material

A hybrid space age composite

The Ayagi material found in our decking, cladding, fencing and louvers is our secret sauce. It's constructed of a light rigid aluminum skeleton surrounded by a thicker urethane body. When combined the two materials offer unrivaled performance. The metal skeleton provides the strength and ridigity while the water-proof, UV resistant polymer provides a tough durable skin against the elements.

The problems and solutions

Ayagi is All Weather-proof
uv resistance
UV Resistant

Ayagi's outer polyurethane body is highly UV resistant. There will be no color fading and no need for restaining/repainting.

water-proof
Water-proof

Ayagi's is not only rain resistant but water proof. It does not absorb water like concrete or stone. In fact, it floats. Further it doesn't shrink and expand between the seasons.

heat
Beat the heat

Ayagi solves a problem found in many plastics -- it does not get hot in the sun. It's always a pleasant temperature; plus it doesn't bend and warp in the heat.

freeze
Freeze Resistant

Ayagi can be used in regions of extreme heat and cold; it has a temperature range of -62°C to 93°C (-80°F to 200°F).

slip
Slip resistant

The deep 3D texture ensures a high resistance to slipping; an important factor in rainy regions.

feather
Light as a Feather

Ayagi is lighter than wood, lighter than other composites and much lighter than concrete & stone.

Ayagi

Superior 3D surface

Like a sculpture

Ayagi is not only strong and light but its also superior looking. It has deep patterns running in both X and Y axis giving it a compex and rich texture. That's because it's not extruded but fabricated like a piece of sculpture. Our wood grain is unparalled in its natural realism. Wood workers are compelled to 'feel' their material; that's the type of reaction that we seek in Ayagi. It even has the sound of wood when tapping it. Ayagi offers the ultimate in architectural style to an outdoor environment.

Ayagi

A common problem with composites

They're too hot

Ayagi solves a problem found in plastics -- they get far too hot in the sun. A PVC vinyl deck is unbearable in the sun; it often ends up being covered with an outdoor carpet. The material warps and bends in the heat. And worse, it causes the release of toxic, chlorine-based chemicals. For this reason, PVC is considered to be the most environmentally damaging plastic. Ayagi solves the heat problem in several fundamental ways. Urethane itself is a superior conductor of heat; the amount of polymer is actually minimal since the material is mostly hollow. And theres the unique design. Heat is channeled away from the surface into the hollow channels. Ayagi's unique composition and design makes your architectural space into a cool one.
